Ian
My name is Ian Burrett and I am one of the web developers at East Renfrewshire Council.
I have a background in hand coded xhtml / css, accessibility / usability and web standards - so most of my duties on the site comprise of making sure the things are validating, working well for the visitors and looking as good as possible.
Since joining the council in 2008, I’ve been involved in implementing several designs in a number of cms products. These include sites such as Dams to Darnley, Better Barrhead, myhealth and dayvisitor - as well as the council site itself.
I have rebuilt the templates for the most recent redesign which was done on the council site and between myself and the rest of the team we are always looking for better ways to do things. This ranges from the content specific areas for the Libraries and Theatre pages, to creating the css for the new address look and feel.
For my sins I am a member of the guild of accessible web designers (GAWDS) and a fifth dan black belt in CSS & XHTML.
