<description>Recently I read the book ‘FACE’ by Benjamin Zephaniah

The book is about a boy called Martin Taylor the leader of a gang and the most popular boy in school he has everything he wanted Girls, friends and respect but this all changes when after a night on the town he accepts a lift from a drug crazed friend and the car crashes completely ruining his face and this is when he realises he was only loved for his looks and not his personality and when he is visited by his friends in hospital they cant even make eye contact with him let alone a running conversation. When he returns to school he is given pity which he does not want and also realises how with one simple accident those who were close to him became so far apart.

I enjoyed the book as the story shows that if you’re honest with yourself then things can change for the better.
