The french connection - I casually opened this book in the bunk of a channel ferry and finished it in a hammock in Brittany a few days later, absolutely spellbound. An unlikely Richard and Judy bestseller. This is a massive book which mixes little known medieval history, religious persecution and a long hidden secret. Throw in a healthy dose of shadowy characters, a terrific plot and a taste of the Langeudoc and you have something of the flavour of this book. If you plan to read "Labyrinth" make sure your calendar is free for a few days at least - I guarantee you'll not be going out much.
